Bagshaws have gone from strength to strength within the dairy sales sector of the auctioneering profession competing successfully with the very best.

Quietly but surely the department has grown to become a major part of the trading business undertaking regular weekly dairy sale at both Leek and Derby together with monthly pedigree sales and many on farm dispersals.

The department is headed by husband and wife team Mark and Meg Elliott.  Unique in their approach they are totally “Hand On” both in markets and especially at on-farm sales. Rostrum duties are shared but aside from these they also undertake all the necessary sale preparations with their experienced team from cataloguing, building of the sale ring, all paperwork, to the numbering and penning of cattle. This very practical approach ensures as far as possible the smooth running of the day and hopefully in turn minimises the pressure for the client on a day which is often quite emotional.

Bagshaws also has the big advantage of having 3 markets which can accommodate herd dispersal sales when an on-site sale is not suitable. This allows us to tailor all instructions to clients needs and also gives the Bagshaws team a massive “shop window” in which to promote their sales.
