Expressions of interest required for the lease of Ashbourne fishing pond on behalf of Derbyshire Dales District Council.
Fishpond Meadow, Ashbourne Businesses, charities or special interest groups are invited to submit proposals to re - establish recreational fishing on the pond which forms part of Ashbourne park. Ashbourne park includes the memorial gardens, recreation ground, fishpond meadow and the fishing pond.
Proposals Proposals should include a project summary, local community involvement, environmental considerations and an offer of rent.
Expressions of interest are required by Friday 22nd September
Inspection Inspection can be made via Bagshaws Ashbourne office or in person, the demised lease will include the pond and a three metre width around the water’s edge (excluding the bridge by the ford).
Information There are a number of disused fishing pegs which will require replacing and some vegetation management required in consultation with the council’s park’s team.
The lease will run for ten years. It is believed the pond is well stocked but no recent records are available.
The smaller pond to the east may also be included if required.
