Area Map
A wonderful opportunity to purchase a block of grassland with a range of buildings and stockproof boundaries, extending to approx. 8.82 acres (3.57 hectares), in a quiet rural location on the outskirts of Wadshelf with far reaching views over the valley towards Chesterfield. For Sale by Public Auction at 3pm on Monday 21st November 2022 at The Agricultural Business Centre, Bakewell DE45 1AH

The land is situated on the outskirts of the village of Wadshelf, surrounded by open countryside and having good road network links to the nearby villages and Market Town of Chesterfield, and only half a mile off the A619. The land is 5 miles to the west of Chesterfield and 8.5 miles to the north east of Bakewell.

From Chesterfield town centre, head west along the A619 and follow the road which merges into Chatsworth Road over a number of round abouts. Continue out of the town and up the dual carriageway and turn right into the village of Wadshelf. Continue through the village and around the sharp left hand bend onto School Lane and the land will be on your right hand side, as indicated by our second ‘For Sale’ board.

The land extends to 8.82 acres (3.57 hectares) of grassland, all suitable for mowing and all for grazing of livestock, and is split into various fields. The land is in good heart and has stockproof boundaries of both dry stone walling and post and wire fencing, whilst boasting rural views across the valley towards Chesterfield. There is a range of buildings and a substantial field barn with an entrance point off the lane itself. The land has a gentle slope to the east and at the eastern boundary is an old quarry.
