Charleston Herd Dispersal Thursday 18th December

The ring was packed at Bakewell Agricultural Centre for the Charleston herd dispersal with support from far and wide for this genuine Limousin sale.

The trade for cows and calves set off at a pace topping £3,800 for a 2019 born cow with a July born heifer calf, clinched by the Ballard family of Alton.   A second 2019 born cow with a July born heifer calf reached £3,650 to Messrs Kay of Sheffield.

 

In calf cows topped at £3,550 for a 2021 Roughley Osprey daughter sold 2 months in calf to Ampertaine Senator, she was clinched by Messrs Wildgoose of Scarcliffe.

A 2018 born Dinmore Drake daughter made £3,500 also 5 months in calf to Senator, she went to D & E Witter, Crewe.

 

In calf heifers also topped at £3,550 for a Goldies Northstar daughter to Messrs Hodge of Suffolk, close behind at £3,500 was a Roughley Romeo daughter to the Darlington family of Stoke on Trent.

 

Maiden heifers reached £2,350 for a Roughley Ollie heifer also to D & E Witter.

 

Young Bulls were highly sought after with a March 2025 Dinmore Saintjohn son reaching £3,700 to DA Bailey, Sutton on the Hill.

 

The 2021 born stock bull Ampertaine Senator attracted spirited bidding and was eventually clinched by the Smith family of Uttoxeter at £8,200.
