Bakewell Market Thursday Lunchtime Sheep Sale Thursday 2nd April
255 Sheep including 46 Finished Hoggs, 105 Ewes & Rams & 104 Store Sheep

A total of 255 sheep on offer for the pre Easter market included 46 lambs.
New season lambs sold to 420p/kg for Dorsets with old season lambs to 388p/kg.
In the cull sheep a good entry of 105 included a large proportion of horned ewes with Dorsets selling to £160 and an overall average of £95.
A meated nanny goat well bid for to £150.00.
The highlight of the day must be the demand for the ewes and lambs. All types well bid for with the pedigree Dutch Spotted Ewe, which only had one quarter with a single pedigree ewe lamb at foot shown by George Pearson attracted very brisk bidding with the final bid at £500 and going home to Nottinghamshire.
