400 Ewes & Rams
Auctioneers Mark Elliott & Holly Swift
A very diverse entry with several big runs of grazing ewes sold later in the day and plainer types in all breeds and sizes looking well sold on the week and vendors well rewarded.
The biggest and shapely top 15% good to sell to a top of £285 for the Swift Family at Red House. Best neat Texels and Beltex £250 for the Broughs and £240 plus for the Andrews Family and Swift Family.
Good small runs and continental crosses £180 plus with a few Scotties and smaller types looking a good trade in the £100-£118 bracket as these better types were only half meated and medium framed.
Plenty of men out for grazers with Stuart Hudson up to £120 for Mules (correct below) showing hard Summer conditions North of Ashbourne.
ewes ave £131.65
rams ave £129.75
Overall average £131.63
