Livestock & Dairy: Bakewell Market

Bakewell Store Sheep Thursday 1st January

A catalogued entry of 4,549 Store Sheep included 4,374 lambs, 174 breeding ewes and 41 rams which saw a busy ringside of buyers from start to finish.

Store lambs on fire for all types with a total clearance easily achieved and in many cases exceeding vendors expectations by some margin.

Buyers gathered from far and wide with a sale average with everything included at £122.68 up £10 per head on the same sale last year.

Entries are still being taken for the next sale in a fortnights time.
