The first property auction of 2026 attracted a strong turnout, with a room full of bidders at the Agricultural Business Centre in Bakewell on Monday afternoon. A total of nine lots were offered, achieving excellent results overall, and both land values and buyer demands remain encouragingly buoyant. Just under £1 million worth of property was sold, with the results as follows:

  • Land at Haughton, Stafford – £110,000
  • Lot Land and Buildings off Bonsall Lane, Bonsall, Matlock – £  86,000
  • Homestead Cottage, Alstonefield – £230,000
  • Moorfield Farm, Charlestown, Glossop – £390,000
  • 23 Church Street, Ashbourne – £180,000
