This auction was held on Monday 25th March.

The 25th March auction was a standing room only event with the conference room at the Agricultural Business Centre buzzing with anticipation for the 15 lots that were under the hammer.

 

Ed Lawley was the day’s auctioneer, although lots sold prior included Morrell Wood Farm, a development site at Whittington Moor, land off Crowhill Lane, land at Carsington and Rose Cottage which collectively accounted for over £2.5 million worth of transactions.

 

Of those lots offered;

 

Chadwick Hill at Winster saw Lot A (9.26 acres) acheive £104,000, while the smaller Lot B (0.56 acres) sold for £16,000. A 5.34-acre plot with roadside access and water on Conksbury Lane near Youlgrave sold for £85,000. Two lots on Hope Road, Thornhill, amounting to 3.20 and 3.39 acres, were sold for £55,000 each. Netherfield Lane in Wadshelf had two land sales: 4.75 acres for £50,000 and 2 acres for £75,000. Finally, 7.63 acres of grassland off Bonsallmoor Lane in Winster sold for £60,000.
