Bakewell Property Auction November 2019
This auction was held on Monday 18th November.
At our final Property Auction of the year there were five lots available to a room of prospective purchasers, with a number of notable results.
Land of St Helens Lane, Wirksworth was highly sought after and comprised 8.37 acres of grassland together with a dilapidated barn. This went for £127,000 at the fall of the hammer.
1.2 acres of land off Locko Road, Lower Pilsley, featured a small outbuilding and had planning consent granted for equestrian use, achieved £46,000, and a productive parcel of land at Flagg amounting to 13.06 acres realised £144,000, (£11,026/acre), in the room.
Church Street at Brassington had been sold shortly prior to the auction and at the time in writing 6.15 acres at grassland at Oughtibridge, together with a former workshop Doone at Barn Two Dales,
Matlock (having planning permission for a conversion into two-bedroom dwelling,) remain unsold.

Reflecting on the past year, Bagshaws Property Auctions at Bakewell have seen a large number of entries seeing over £8.2 million of property go under the hammer, with some excellent results having been achieved, again highlighting the benefit of an auction sale for certain properties.
