Trade was very brisk right from the start with plenty of buyers forward wanting to fill fields and order books.  The quality on offer was as good as ever with plenty of tupping lambs as well as the smaller running types.  The overall average of £124.15 was up £30/head on last year, with only one pen below the £100 barrier.

A total of 15 pens of show lambs presented for Mr Vose to judge with 9 of them being Suffolk x.

A total of 3240 on offer for the second day.  All types of lambs attracted very brisk bidding from the very first to the last pen through the ring.  The day started off with the first prize pen of Suffolk x Mules from the Renwick Family and topped the day at £175/head with the overall Suffolk average up £25/head on the year.  The Texel x looked just as well sold to peak at £153 with the overall average up £31 on last year, many more lambs could have been sold on this trade with several lorries only going home half full.
