Bakewell Market Mule Ewe Lamb Show & Sale 17-09-2020

Thursday 17th September. Best Pen of 10 Mules, Best Pen of 10 Mashams

Day 1 of the Bakewell Ewe Lambs Sale consisted of 3,095 Mule Ewe Lambs with regular Bakewell vendors selling top quality sheep.

There was plenty of buying power present or represented with buyers suitable masked, sanitised and socially distanced.  The Auctioneers are particularly grateful for the excellent co operation from all concerned in order to hold the sale under Covid 19 regulations.

Prior to sale vendors were permitted to select a pen of lambs to be inspected by the judge S Taylor, Hollow Meadows.

The sale proceeded in a brisk fashion with very strong competition at all price points with a result that the average for all breeds and crosses was £97.05 precisely £10 up on last year.

The general observation being that only the smaller lambs failed to £100.
