Sale of 123 TB restricted “orange” cattle
Friday 1st 22nd July 2022
These sales are designed for farmers shut down under TB restriction to sell cattle in a live market scenario. The cattle can go straight to slaughter or to an Approved Finishing Unit (AFU) but have to remain in the feeding yards.
The sales are now somewhat of a regular feature and the entry today consisted of what is required at these sales, big, well framed and aged cattle suitable for the fattening yards. The buyers amassed at ringside and the sale commenced and a very fast trade throughout was witnessed with sample results as follows:

The Martin cattle were brought in to the market by C&R Livestock Haulage who used 5 Artic wagons and had all cattle in the market before 9am.
