Livestock & Dairy: Bakewell Market

Bakewell Market Report 21-12-2020

The last market of the year was rather busier than expected with 313 cattle and 1,588 sheep on sale.

There had been concerns that the travel ban from Dover might affect the lamb trade, but the fears were unfounded and prices were much as last week.

For the avoidance of doubt, the next market at Bakewell is on Monday 4th January.

We will be preparing a Store Cattle Entry List, but we will be finalising the catalogue on Wednesday 30th December.  Please telephone or text your entries to Alastair Sneddon on 07973 982441.
