128 Barren, OTM and Feeding Cows overall average 163.4p/kg or £1086

(Auctioneer Oliver Hiles)

Very strong numbers again with a big number of cows about nationally, the processors want the cows less but they got the meat dearer than last week.  Heavy flesh is the order of the day and the best fleshed cows commanded a good premium with the buyers bidding freely and wanting to own the cows.  A superb young Limousin cow won the day and sold at 250p £1870 but it was run close by a superb Blue cow from Katie Simpson at 249p to gross £2290.  Better cows generally 200p plus with meat in demand.  Feeding buyers still looking hard for any cows with potential and we can sell those well, whether tested or un-tested to the AFU men at ringside.
