Modest entries of 160 cattle and 539 sheep for the Bank Holiday Tuesday market.

Thoe vendors who brought stock were well rewarded with decent prices and very satisfactory results.

There were several cow & calf outfits with the best to £1,600.

Back to normal next week with a number of substantial entries already booked in.  If you have stores to sell, give the Bakewell office a call on 01629 812777.  If you need a word about them, call Alastair Sneddon on 07973 982441.

31 calves on offer with bulls to £365 and heifers £395.

Over in the sheep department a small entry of 539 as hoggs dwindle and Spring lambs only just starting to come in better numbers.
