127 BARREN, OTM AND FEEDING COWS overall ave 177.3p/kg or £1183

(Auctioneer Oliver Hiles)

A very big mid-summer show of cows including 3 vendors with over 7 cows to bulk the numbers and 55 vendors in today.  Today we have had double the number of cows that we had this week last year and trade is about 10 pence dearer on the year.  Best cow today was a pure Limmy from Darren Smithem that sold at 249p (£1610) to a further feeding buyer.  Meated cows generally 210p plus with the biggest cows over £1500.  Generally, a good day.

We at Bakewell can handle the numbers with a good line up of end users and further feeding buyers all wanting your cows.  If you would like any information on how we market cows in Bakewell, give me a call on 07801 530899.
