If proof were ever needed that the auction system drives the trade and top prices are achieved by open and transparent competition, this is it.

We thank all vendors for their support, not least in observing the ‘drop & go’ regime, which allows us to maximise space for our buyers, who with prices as they are, definitely need to be kept safe.

A couple of things to tell you about, firstly orange sales are scheduled to start on Friday 16th April.  If you are under TB restriction it might provide an opportunity for you to sell cattle by auction.  See the poster later in this report.

The second item is that we intend to hold a market on Easter Monday.  With the shops shut and no professional haircuts available until 12th April we are going to maintain business as usual with a ‘Drop & Go’ market on Monday 5th April.
