Monday 13th December

With Christmas looming and only one more Monday before the break the market was busy in all departments with 760 Cattle and 1,662 Sheep on offer.

With 492 head of cattle forward the Store & Breeding section was particularly well supported and buyers were out in force topping up their yards while supplies last.

With Christmas show week behind us it was back to commercial rates again in the Finished Cattle section.  Top figures 300p/kg and £2,083 per head.

The entry totalled 103 head and the overall average was a creditable 240.7p/kg.
