107 Barren, OTM and Feeding Cows Overall Average 180.3p or £1240.15

(Auctioneer Oliver Hiles)

An excellent trade once again, very much what we have come to expect with the average a penny up on the week or £19/head better on last week.  61 vendors showed cows this week to a total of 14 different accounts at ringside with the cows meat harder to sell on the continent but not so in the market today.  19 best today topped £2/kilo with a smart heifer 32 mnths at 225p closely followed by a super Limousin cow at 224p for PW Lomas and a pure-bred Lim at 218p for Ashford Hall to gross £1962.  Unbelievably, feeding buyers still operating at these high levels and looking to buy the lean cows to improve their value.
