442 Hoggs ave 301.96p/kg

Given the wet weather conditions and a mixed sample of sheep trade was strong, especially for the meated sorts with the best to tops of 370p/kg and £187 per head.

77 Cull Sheep ave £85 per head

An excellent trade for all with a number of horned and Mule ewes within the entry.  Top price for continentals at £195 from Graham Ford.

 

120 Store Sheep including 57 Hoggs, 54 in lamb Ewes & 9 Ewes & Lambs

The first ewes and lambs of the season attracted plenty of bidding with demand very good for the quality sheep on offer.  Texel x Cheviot Ewes with Beltex singles sold to £254 (£127/life), Texel x Ewe with single £208 (£104/life) and Mule ewes with twins £208.

In the in-lamb section still plenty of interest despite the poor weather conditions with some outstanding results.  More buyers than sheep with demand for all types.
