160 CULL SHEEP & 35 STORE SHEEP

 

108 Spring Lambs ave 382.73p/kg

Similar numbers to last week but a mixier entry in terms of quality reflecting the reduced average.  That said, a firm level of demand throughout with top prices of 450p/kg and £197 per head.

Very much a two-tier trade as reported elsewhere with meated sorts well bid for but plainer types changing hands at discounted rates.  Tops of 380p/kg and £195 per head.

Trade again strong for all and many more could have been sold to vendors’ advantage.  Continental ewes up to £182, Mules to £160 and stronger horned ewes upwards of £100.

 

35 Store Sheep

Just a small entry of ewes and lambs but plenty of interest to a top of £218.
