THURSDAY LUNCHTIME SHEEP SALE REPORT

1212 Sheep including 701 Finished Lambs, 492 Cull Sheep, 5 Store Lambs & 14 Goats
A total entry of 1212 head of stock on offer included 701 lambs. Best meated sorts still in demand with a top of 264p/kg for butchers lambs and 262p/kg for heavyweight butchers lambs. A larger proportion of plainer sorts within the entry was reflected in the overall average of 226.32.

492 Cull Sheep
A tremendous show of 492 cull and grazing ewes included a large proportion of plain and half meated ewes. Best Texel ewes sold to £148 with Suffolks to £121, Mules to £95 and Mashams to £93.
Ewes to £148 Ave: £65.59
Rams to £112 Ave: £52.50
A special entry of Boer goats on offer this week saw Does to £148, Doe Kids to £106 and castrated kids to £89.
