793 SHEEP INCLUDING 573 Finished Lambs & 163 Cull Sheep & 57 Store sheep

 

A very good entry of 793 sheep included 573 lambs.  Best shaped lambs regardless of weight still in demand to peak at 291p/kg for the best butchers types and overweights to 255p/kg and a top gross of £156.39/head.  The overall market average 245.95p/kg.

163 Cull Sheep

A good entry of 163 cull sheep saw trade less in general, to peak at £102.  With a larger proportion of Swale Ewes on offer the overall average was only £51.18/head.

 

57 Store Sheep

A total of 57 store sheep saw brisk bidding with Texel x running ewe lambs selling to £81/head and Texel feeding lambs to £84/head.
