773 Sheep including 375 Finished Hoggs, 179 Cull Sheep & 219 Store Sheep

 

375 Finished Hoggs ave 304.39p/kg

Trade slightly less than last week, but still well in line.  All weights in keen demand with a top price of 328p/kg

45.0kg 313p/kg P Langton, Derby
47.3kg 290p/kg H & G Hollinshead, Lichfield

39.1 – 45.5kg To: 328p/kg Ave: 306.91p/kg
45.6 – 52kg To: 301p/kg Ave: 281.15p/kg

 

179 Cull Sheep Ave £91 per head

An increase in numbers with trade strong for all with a top price of £159

 

220 Store Sheep – 22 Feeding Lambs & 79 Ewes & Lambs

A total of 220 Store Sheep included 22 Feeding Hoggs and 79 Ewes plus lambs.

With the sun shining buyers came out in force all masked up ready to buy quality ewe lambs.  Trade was outstanding for all types, but today saw demand kick straight in with a Texel Ewe and single lamb, left with us at 8am to look after and saw bidding finishing at £190 (£95/life)
