In the breeding sheep section was the entire lambing flock of Aberfield and Lleyn ewes from Hough Park.  The ewes being all scanned in lamb for February and March.  These attracted a great deal of interest from near and far.  The shearling ewes scanned in lamb to Highlander rams started the section in style with the top price of £200/head being achieved twice with an average of £168.  The rest of the ewes were all scanned to the Aberfield Rams saw 2 shear ewes to £185 (twice) to average £163.  3 shear ewes to £180 (twice) to average £163, 4/5 shear to £165 (twice0 to average £144.  The older ewes were all Lleyn bred scanned in lamb to the Aberfield and sold to £155 to average £142.

Many Thanks to everyone who gave very generously for the refreshments today, we made a total of £154.82, which we will donate to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
