Sales Report HereQuality cattle were in abundance at the March edition of the High Peak Livestock Society Sales. 448 cattle were catalogued from producers in the Peak District with the general standard thought to be very high by all observers at ringside as well as those who watched on line through the live streaming.
Buyers were out in force with distance travellers joining the locals and encouraged by the outstanding finished cattle returns that have been achieved recently.
The majority of the cattle at the sale were Spring & Summer 2020 born and the vast majority were under 12 months of age.
The sale progressed very quickly, a result of trade at present but also the fact that the cattle were sold in good sized even bunches.
Bagshaws would like to thank all vendors for producing some outstanding quality cattle and showing them so well at the ring.
The cattle trade remains outstanding and equally as dear than that of which we witnessed at the February fixture, with the averages way up on the year as we would expect.
