Trade continues at a pace with a good line up of buyers looking for replacement stock. The best continue to sell best and two smart heifers from Michael Wainwright led the day. His Pedigree two year old newly calved heifers sold at £2060 and £1980 and both purchased by John Moss.

Derek Davenport, Sandbach also sold smart heifers at £1880 and £1840, both newly calved and giving 21kg daily.

Plenty of cows today and these were topped by a second calver from the Barber family, Gnosall who made £1800 and also had a third calver at £1750.

One baby Shorthorn heifer calf at two weeks old made £300 from Trevor Swinson, Caverswall.

Topping the day in the dairy ring was a strong Pedigree Angus bull from Martin Farrington. This 3 year old stock getter made £2100 after spirited bidding from several parties.
