A full shed of milkers at Leek on Tuesday met a really solid trade with prices topping at £2580 twice over, both for heifers, the first from W J Nadin & Co and the second from Michael Wainwright both of Buxton.

A lovely run of cows from the Broomhouse Herd of Messrs Easom saw second and third calvers reach £2220, £2220 and £2100 respectively.

The herd sale for the Hollingshead family of Melton Mowbray despite containing a large number of older cows sold well.

Next week we have a fantastic entry for the monthly pedigree sale with entries towards 100 already received. There will be some real quality on offer so don’t miss out.
