“Diverse Outdoor Pig Unit Sale Attracts the Crowd and Excellent Prices Achieved”

The Bagshaws team travelled to Ravenshead in Nottinghamshire for the retirement dispersal on behalf of Mr Brian Smith and family who had traded for several decades.

The principal items in the sale included Claas equipment together with a Case Puma tractor but the 540 lot sale included over 100 pig arcs in various sizes together with a large number of 16ft sq. mono pitch sow barns.

In the smaller lots:

The leg bins in the yard topped at £2,400 for a Collinson 16 Ton Bin c/w Side Chute.

As detailed above the pig arcs attracted wide interest with a pair of galvanised arcs to £300 and sets of 6 galvanised arcs c/w fenders to £500 per lot.

The diverse nature and re-usage of the sow barns which could be used for calf rearing, ewe and lamb pens etc saw single sow barns up to £430 each and pairs of flat pack sow barns up to £790 per lot.
