Machinery Dispersal Report-Field Farm, Measham Friday 30th May

“Large Crowd and Very Pleasing Trade at Field Farm Dispersal” Mark Elliott
The sale for the Fowkes Family undertaken by the Bagshaws team at Field Farm, Ashby Road, Measham attracted a very large crowd and with a large run of extra items from outside vendors there was definitely something for everyone at this late May sale.
Undoubtedly the stars of the show were the Deutz tractors, JCB Telehandler together with tractors from extra vendors with some eye watering prices achieved during the day.
In the Smaller Lots:
- Old Galvanised Wash Up Trough £55
- Clarke Petrol Driven Pressure Washer £280
- JE-MA Rekord Small Single Phase Grain Cleaner £1,020
- PTO Shafts £48
The farm had just a small range of equipment together with the two Deutz tractors with prices as follows:
- Dowdeswell 4 Furrow Reversible Plough £1,600
- Set of Quivogne Trailed Discs £3,100
- Set of Old Vaderstad Folding Ring Rolls £2,000
- Spalding 3 Leg Flat Lift £2,400
Potential purchasers had travelled long distances for the tractors, dryer etc with the Master Super 120 Mobile Dryer achieving £8,200 and the Rolland Twin Axle Grain Trailer achieving a very good £7,600.
Within the Tractors:
- Deutz Agristar-08’ sold on an M Plate believed to have run for around 8,000 hours selling at £18,900.
- Deutz Agrotron 135 MKIII on 4,300 hours (51 Plate) at £18,700.
- The farms JCB 531-370 T4i Series III Construction Spec Handler sold into Cheshire on 2,950 hours on a 13’ Plate at £17,600.

Perhaps the surprise of the day was a superb TAFE 45 DI 2WD Mini Tractor c/w Cab which was driven by the non-vat registered vendor to the sale showing 855 hours and owned from new. Sold with no vat it achieved a massive £14,300 and the Kilworth Dragone Flail Mower just removed from it made £1,030

Other compact tractors included an Iseki 1215 2WD achieved £3,820 and an older John Deere 3050 4WD c/w SG2 Cab sold on an E Plate at £8,000.
As detailed trailers were very well bid for with a Richard Western 20 Ton SWT 20 Grain Trailer with Hydraulic Rear Door at £17,200 to travel to Warwickshire.
Smaller Non-Vat items included Stihl Strimmer at £125, Case Bird at £150, Golf Buggy at £300.
A well attended sale with spirited bidding and more sales booked for the next month.
