“Classic Masseys Pull the Crowds at North Nottinghamshire Dispersal”-Mark Elliott

The dispersal on behalf of Mrs Helen Willison and family at New Farm, Hodthorpe saw an excellent range of Classic Massey’s for genuine auction together with a full range of arable equipment and livestock requisites.

The Willison family have been on the holding for in excess of 100 years and the Late Peter Willison was a true Massey man through and through with the star of the show being Peter’s Massey Ferguson 390 2WD and his 135 both purchased from new.

The tractors attracted wide interest from the north of England together with Ireland and the South West and included:

  • Massey Ferguson 4255 4WD                                        £14,500

There was very spirited bidding for the Massey Ferguson 135 together with Massey Ferguson 390 with commission bidders, phone bidders and large crowd round each lot. The Massey Ferguson 135 eventually was purchased by a Stoke on Trent bidder at £8,100 with the 390 2WD at an excellent £21,200 to a small holder from Staffordshire.
