This auction was held on Tuesday 20th January 2026.
Despite a late change of auction venue there was a body of people present for the sale of 2 lots of land off Church Road, Ashley near Market Drayton last Tuesday evening. The bidding was brisk and by local farmers and landowners
Both lots had been exclusively grazed by horses for a number of years and were in need of cultivation and reseeding. The first lot had also some large patches of brambles while the second had weed and sapling growth within the field.
Lot 1 extended to 8.86 acres and realised £178,000 (£20,090 per acre) whilst the second saw the hammer fall at £130,000 (£13,100 per acre)
An interesting sale after several months with very little land coming to the market
