  • As Chartered Surveyors, we advise on a wide range of land and property related matters including valuations, compensation claims, occupation agreements, planning and development issues.
  • We continue to be one of the largest livestock and property auctioneers in the Midlands, with livestock markets in Bakewell and Leek.

Part-Time Viewing Assistant - Bakewell Office

We are looking for person to assist with property viewings throughout the Peak Park and surrounding areas.

The person we are looking for would be called upon as and when required, to carry out viewings of properties Bagshaws have on the market.  This would involve meeting clients and showing the potential purchasers around the property.  The number of hours required will vary on a week to week basis and often, short notice may be given for your assistance.  Payment for carrying out these viewings would be at an hourly rate of £7.50 plus a mileage allowance, use of own car is required. Previous experience in a similar role would be helpful, as would knowledge of the local area. However, in addition to this due to the nature of the role, flexibility is a must.

RICS qualified Chartered Surveyor and Valuer

We are looking to recruit a full time RICS qualified Chartered Surveyor and Valuer. CAAV membership would also be a benefit. This role would be split between our Penkridge and Uttoxeter Offices.

The successful candidate will have completed their APC qualification, be VRS registered and have some post qualification experience. This experience should include, but not be limited to; the valuation of all property types (residential, rural, equestrian, agricultural), able to assist with tenancy matters, confident in the management of land and estates, promotion/option agreements and have an understanding of the Basic Payment Scheme.

You will be friendly, outgoing and a good communicator. Whilst being a member of a team, you will be used to working as an independent fee earner, have excellent attention to detail and an up to date working knowledge of RICS regulations and guidelines.

Whilst the candidate may come from rural background, this is desirable but not essential.

Estate Agent Vacancy at our Penkridge Office

Due to the recent acquisition of Heather Stern Estate Agent, we are looking to recruit a full-time Estate Agent. We are looking for a candidate who can drive forward the Estate Agency business in Penkridge and the surrounding area, whilst maintaining the success created by the combination of the two businesses.

We are looking for somebody with experience in conducting market appraisals of residential property, it would be an added bonus if you have experience in the valuation of rural property. Our ideal candidate will understand the process of selling property; from initial appraisal through to completion of the sale. They will recognise the importance of effective marketing and advertising of property and also have the skills to maintain excellent relationships with both clients and other professionals.

You will be an articulate communicator with good attention to detail. You should have a full UK driving licence. NAEA membership would also be of benefit.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in both the field of Estate Agency and in the local area of Penkridge. However, candidates new to Estate Agency will also be considered.

We are looking to recruit full time graduates across Bagshaws LLP from summer 2018.

Graduate Surveyor

The successful candidate will work towards their APC qualification looking to qualify by 2020, we would also support working towards your CAAV qualification. As a graduate with Bagshaws you would assist surveyors with valuation work, assist with the land/property sales, assist with land/property management and compensation work.

As we also have a well-established Farm Offices Services team within the business we would expect you to get involved with BPS at one of our busiest times of the year.

Graduate Auctioneer

We also have an opportunity within our thriving farm dispersal and machinery sales team, especially if you have an interest in developing as an auctioneer throughout your career.

For all of our graduate vacancies you will be friendly, outgoing and a good communicator. Working as part of a team, you will be mentored by one of our qualified surveyors/auctioneers and assist them in their day to day work.
