Graduate opportunities within Bagshaws LLP - Graduate Surveyors/Farm Office Services

We are looking to recruit full time graduates across Bagshaws LLP from summer 2019.

Graduate Surveyor

As a new graduate, you will work towards your APC qualification looking to qualify by 2021, we would also support you working towards your CAAV qualification. As a graduate with Bagshaws you would assist surveyors with valuation work, assist with the land/property sales, assist with land/property management and compensation work.

Graduate - Farm Office Services

As a graduate in this role you will administer BPS submissions on behalf of the company, this will involve keeping up to date with current legislation and liaising with clients to ensure the submissions are completed accurately. You will be involved in providing a record keeping service for farmers and an advice service which covers areas such as Grant Scheme applications and NVZ’s, along with providing advice for farmers/landowners on all aspects of legislation and cross compliance matters and assisting farmers in becoming “farm assured”.

For all of our graduate vacancies you will be friendly, outgoing and a good communicator. Working as part of a team, you will be mentored by one of our qualified surveyors/Farm Office managers and assist them in their day to day work.

Whilst our candidates may come from rural background, this is desirable but not essential.

Estate Agency Administrator/Sales Negotiator – Penkridge

We are looking to recruit an Estate Agency Administrator/Sales Negotiator. We are ideally looking for our successful candidate to work five days per week 9am – 5.30pm but flexibility within these hours will be considered.

This is a challenging and exciting role where a committed and flexible work ethic is essential. Our ideal candidate will have a desire to learn the process of selling property; from initial appraisal through to completion of the sale. They will be a well organised individual and will train to be involved in effective marketing and advertising of property. We are looking for a friendly and outgoing member of staff who can build up excellent working relationships with both buyers and sellers alike along with other linked professionals.

You will be an articulate communicator with good attention to detail. We are looking for a candidate who has Maths and English GCSE or equivalent, accompanied by good IT skills. You will be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload effectively whilst producing work to a high standard. Knowledge of the local area of Penkridge and the surrounding area would be appreciated.

Temporary Planning and Drawing Technician - Ashbourne office

We are looking to recruit a temporary Planning and Drawing Technician. This role is to cover a period of 9 months from October/November 2018, with the potential to extend to a permanent post in late 2019. Initially this is a full-time post, however part-time hours will be considered.

The post will primarily be based at our Ashbourne office but the flexibility to travel to our other offices would be required.

You will be a member of the Planning team based at our prominent location in Ashbourne and will work alongside established members of the team. The successful candidate will have the ability to prepare scale drawings to accompany planning applications for a range of rural developments. Experience with computer aided design is essential however further training on specific software can provided. A knowledge of the planning process would be advantageous in this role.

We are looking with someone with excellent communication skills who will be able to answer telephone enquiries. This will be supplemented with strong organisation skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages in order to deal with administration on behalf of the Planning team.

You will be friendly, outgoing, and used to working independently in a busy office environment. You will be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload effectively whilst producing work to a high standard. You will be educated to GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Whilst the candidate may come from a rural background, this is desirable but not essential.
