Temporary, Part-time Receptionist/Secretary - Penkridge office (15 hours per week)

Bagshaws is an independent firm of Estate Agents, Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers and Valuers. The six partners live and work in Derbyshire, Staffordshire and the Peak District operating from five offices. The Estate Agency side of our business specialises in both the sale and rental of Town & Country properties throughout Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

During our extremely busy Spring period we are looking to recruit a temporary, part-time receptionist/secretary to assist with the smooth running of the administration team at our Penkridge office. Days and hours of work can be flexible.

The role will involve providing secretarial cover (if possible with the ability to audio type), preparing documents relating to our estate agency business, providing reception cover, filing, assisting with company marketing, preparing invoices and all other aspects of administration that helps to keep our busy office running.

You will be friendly, outgoing, a good communicator and used to working independently in a busy office environment. You will be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload effectively whilst producing work to a high standard. You will also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and be educated to GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Vacancy for a full-time Secretary/Receptionist at Bakewell office

We are looking to recruit a secretary at our friendly Bakewell office. This post is a full time role 9am to 5.30pm each day with an unpaid hour for lunch (plus working 1 in 5 Saturday mornings).

You will be a member of the administration team based at The Agricultural Business Centre in Bakewell. The role will involve providing secretarial cover (with the ability to audio type), preparing documents relating to our livestock market and estate agency businesses, providing reception cover, filing, assisting with company marketing, preparing invoices and all other aspects of administration that helps to keep our busy office running.

You will be friendly, outgoing, a good communicator and used to working independently in a busy office environment. You will be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload effectively whilst producing work to a high standard. You will also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and be educated to GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Whilst the candidate may come from rural background, this is desirable but not essential.

RICS qualified Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor and Valuer at Ashbourne/Uttoxeter office

  • We continue to be one of the largest livestock and property auctioneers in the Midlands, with livestock markets in Bakewell and Leek.
  • Our team of Estate Agents are responsible for a wide portfolio of both town and country properties.
  • Our on-site team for livestock, dairy and machinery dispersal sales take responsibility for all aspects of the sale, minimising the workload and anxiety for our clients.

We are looking to recruit a full time RICS qualified Chartered Surveyor and Valuer to work out of our Ashbourne/Uttoxeter offices. CAAV membership would also be a benefit.

The successful candidate will have completed their APC qualification, be VRS registered and have 3-5 years of relevant post qualification experience. This experience should include, but not be limited to; the valuation of all property types (residential, rural, equestrian, agricultural), able to assist with tenancy matters, confident in the management of land and estates, promotion/option agreements and have an understanding of the Basic Payment Scheme.

You will be friendly, outgoing and a good communicator. Whilst being a member of a team, you will be used to working as an independent fee earner, have excellent attention to detail and an up to date working knowledge of RICS regulations and guidelines.

Whilst the candidate may come from rural background, this is desirable but not essential.
