Bakewell store lamb sales offer one of the finest selections of store lambs available anywhere in the country. The lambs, chiefly from the
Peak District, are predominantly Continental and Suffolk crosses mainly out of Mule and Texel cross ewes.
The healthy upland area, much of it livestock country, produces lambs that are renowned to do well wherever they go. The vast majority of lambs come from within 25 miles of the market and as such are well suited to a longer journey from the sale to their destination.
