Julia grew up on a Dairy and Arable farm in Staffordshire and started her career in Lancashire, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2013.
Having worked for a small regional firm specialising in Estate Management and then a National Utilities company, Julia moved back to Staffordshire to join Bagshaws in 2014.
Julia undertakes a wide range of general professional work from the Uttoxeter office including valuation, utility works and compensation claims, landlord and tenant advice and rural property management and sales. Her spare time is mainly taken up with her family, walking and sewing but not necessarily at the same time.
Julia is also an RICS Registered Valuer.
Meg is a specialist Pedigree Dairy Auctioneer and Chartered Surveyor.
Since graduating with an Honours Degree from Harper Adams Agricultural College, Meg has specialised in the marketing and sale of dairy cattle.
Our key figure at Leek market and 2016 Marts the Heart Auctioneer of the Year, Meg sells the dairy cattle at Leek on a weekly basis. In conjunction with her husband Mark, Meg co-ordinates all dairy dispersal sales from cataloguing through to selling and organizing the Bagshaws monthly Pedigree dairy sales.
Meg also assists in the majority of farm dispersal sales and undertakes a range of professional valuation work.
Dianne joined the Planning Department at our Ashbourne office in Sept 2016. She has over 20 years experience in preparing, submitting and dealing with planning applications in the agricultural, equestrian and industrial building sector.
Dianne grew up on a dairy farm in Derbyshire and enjoys spending her free time playing hockey, watching football and spending time with family and friends.
Craig carries out a range agricultural and rural planning applications predominately working in and around the Peak District National Park. With over 10 years experience in the sector, a strong knowledge of agricultural and rural business and a successful track record, Craig ensures the clients projects have the best chance of success through the planning system.
In addition, Craig also provides advice in relation to farm payment and environmental schemes.
Craig has a keen interest in sustainable agriculture systems, renewable energy and rural business development and also runs his own livestock farm and farm diversification business just outside of Ashbourne. A qualified Chartered Surveyor, Craig originally graduated from Harper Adams University College in July 2007 having gained a BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management.
Oliver joined Bagshaws is 2006 and is now the Market Manager at Bakewell Market. Every Monday he sells the Prime Cattle as well as the Barren Cows.
He started his career at Wright Manley in Cheshire working firstly at Crewe, and then later at Beeston market In the pedigree dairy cattle department. After leaving Wright Manley, Oliver spent a short time at Pedigree Dairy Specialists Norton and Brooksbank in Gloucesteshire before joining Bagshaws.
Away from work, Oliver enjoys playing golf and has two children, James (2015) and Charlotte (2017).
Philip has completed a full circle by returning to Bagshaws in August 2018 as he started his career with us back in 1980.
Since that time, Philip has worked for a number of other Chartered Surveyors including Eaton Hollis, Lacy Scott and Frank R Marshalls in offices throughout East Yorkshire, Cheshire and Norfolk / Suffolk.
Outside of work Philip’s hobbies include football [watching these days ], squash and walking.
Olivia started working as Secretary for Mark Elliott for Bagshaws at the Uttoxeter Office in January 2016.
She assists with compiling the catalogues for farm sales and handles administration tasks and telephone enquiries.
Olivia grew up on a Dairy Farm in Derbyshire and enjoys spending her free time gardening and walking her Black Labrador.
General running of the market office, market accounts, dealing with all accounts queries and enquiries.
Outside of work enjoys horses, in particular harness racing and dogs.
Paula is a part time member of our team and is based in our Bakewell Office four days a week. She is responsible for the secretarial admin for property and professional services.
Outside of work Paula enjoys walking, baking and spending time with her family.
As the fourth generation on her family’s cattle farm in Derbyshire, Trudie graduated from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 2008 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Countryside Management.
Trudie then worked for the Peak District National Park Authority as a farm adviser until her move to Bagshaws in 2015.
She now specialises in Countryside Stewardship schemes, the Basic Payment scheme, grant applications and Cross Compliance.
Philip gained his degree in Gloucestershire and later qualified as a Chartered Surveyor. Having worked for five years with a national firm, being based in Staffordshire, Philip joined Bagshaws in 2010, became an Associate Partner in July 2019 and a Partner in April 2022. He is a RICS Registered Valuer and associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Philip’s current role includes advising upon some of the more complex agricultural landlord and tenant work, undertaking valuations for a range of purposes, utility and compensation issues, rural property sales and management, solar and battery sites, some development work together with certain forestry and sporting matters.
Helen joined in 2001 and looks after the day to day activities of the accounts department. Her role includes balancing of ledgers, bank reconciliations, management accounts, VAT & payroll.
Helen enjoys family life, music, socialising, walking and spinning.
