Machinery Dispersal Report-Longshaw Farm, Bradnop
“Massive Crowd at Leek Dispersal” Mark Elliott
The genuine dispersal on behalf of the Clark family at Longshaw Farm attracted wide interest with a very big crowd on sale day.
In the Smaller Items:
- Small Lots of Tanalised Stakes £145 per lot

There was a wide array of calf and cattle equipment to include:
- Wyedale 5 Teat Suckler Feeder £135

- JFC Twin Wheel Feed Barrow £300
The large group Calf Igloos topped at £1,400 each with 5 Unit Calf Hutches to £820 each and Twin Calf Hutches to £240 each.
The KVK Electronically Powered Hydraulic Foot Crush saw spirited bidding to a top of £8,000 with unused Single Phase Rotary Cow Brushes to £860 each.
Within the Machinery:
- The Guttler 3 Metre Mounted Seeder Unit sold extremely well at £7,800
- McCauley Twin Axle Dump Trailer £8,050
- Marshall 10 Ton Twin Axle Trailer £2,900
- Ifor William Tri Axle Livestock Trailer £4,150
- Watson Flat Roll £840
- Reco Sulky Twin Rotor Mounted Fertiliser Spreader £2,120
Slurry Equipment was in demand in this highly intense dairy area with the Hi Spec 2600 Gallon Single Axle SAR Tanker c/w Dribble Bar £18,400. Doda PTO Slurry Pump £4,400 and 100 metres of 5 inch Umbilical Lay Flat Pipes at £760.
The prime mover on the farm was the Case Puma 220 with sold with 50 KPH Gearbox Air and Oil Brakes showing 3,631 hours to a local farmer to £55,500.

There was a genuine range of kit from a farm near Rugeley to include:

The sale culminated with a range of non-vat items with pairs of Stone Gate Posts up to £100 per pair.
Husqvarna Power Driven Rotary Mower £400 and Small Rectangular Troughs up to £480 each.

Machinery Dispersal Report-Field Farm, Measham
“Large Crowd and Very Pleasing Trade at Field Farm Dispersal” Mark Elliott
The sale for the Fowkes Family undertaken by the Bagshaws team at Field Farm, Ashby Road, Measham attracted a very large crowd and with a large run of extra items from outside vendors there was definitely something for everyone at this late May sale.
Undoubtedly the stars of the show were the Deutz tractors, JCB Telehandler together with tractors from extra vendors with some eye watering prices achieved during the day.
In the Smaller Lots:
- Old Galvanised Wash Up Trough £55
- Clarke Petrol Driven Pressure Washer £280
- JE-MA Rekord Small Single Phase Grain Cleaner £1,020
- PTO Shafts £48
The farm had just a small range of equipment together with the two Deutz tractors with prices as follows:
- Dowdeswell 4 Furrow Reversible Plough £1,600
- Set of Quivogne Trailed Discs £3,100
- Set of Old Vaderstad Folding Ring Rolls £2,000
- Spalding 3 Leg Flat Lift £2,400
Potential purchasers had travelled long distances for the tractors, dryer etc with the Master Super 120 Mobile Dryer achieving £8,200 and the Rolland Twin Axle Grain Trailer achieving a very good £7,600.
Within the Tractors:
- Deutz Agristar-08’ sold on an M Plate believed to have run for around 8,000 hours selling at £18,900.
- Deutz Agrotron 135 MKIII on 4,300 hours (51 Plate) at £18,700.
- The farms JCB 531-370 T4i Series III Construction Spec Handler sold into Cheshire on 2,950 hours on a 13’ Plate at £17,600.



Perhaps the surprise of the day was a superb TAFE 45 DI 2WD Mini Tractor c/w Cab which was driven by the non-vat registered vendor to the sale showing 855 hours and owned from new. Sold with no vat it achieved a massive £14,300 and the Kilworth Dragone Flail Mower just removed from it made £1,030

Other compact tractors included an Iseki 1215 2WD achieved £3,820 and an older John Deere 3050 4WD c/w SG2 Cab sold on an E Plate at £8,000.
As detailed trailers were very well bid for with a Richard Western 20 Ton SWT 20 Grain Trailer with Hydraulic Rear Door at £17,200 to travel to Warwickshire.
Smaller Non-Vat items included Stihl Strimmer at £125, Case Bird at £150, Golf Buggy at £300.
A well attended sale with spirited bidding and more sales booked for the next month.

Burrows Farm, Clifton, Nottingham Machinery Dispersal Report
“Wide Interest in Classic Tractors at Nottingham Dispersal” Mark Elliott
The small Non-Vat dispersal on behalf of the Executors of the Late Robert Marshall at Burrows Farm, Clifton attracted very wide national interest with purchasers travelling from Northern Ireland and throughout the North of England, particularly for the Case Tractors.

“Classic Massey’s ring the bell at Derbyshire Dispersal” Mark Elliott
The Bagshaws team out in force for the dispersal on behalf of Mr Lawrence Gratton who is retiring
from Broom Hall Farm who has been on the holding since 1967.
Mr Gratton had been extremely careful with his machinery which was all in excellent condition and
the prices achieved and the support given were definitely a reflection of the well-kept kit.
Undoubtedly the stars of the day were the tractors and telehandler with a classic Massey 398
achieving a massive hammer price of £22,000.

Within the Tractors:
- Massey Ferguson 165 Multi Power c/w Scirocco Flexi Cab £5,300
Undoubtedly the classic Massey Ferguson 398 which had received a paint job approximately 6
years ago created interest from both Ireland, North of England and local counties and after a
spirited bidding war from a Yorkshire man and a Derbyshire enthusiast it achieved a massive
£22,000.
Lawrence Gratton’s main work horses were the Massey Ferguson 5455 Dyna 4 sold on a 11’
Plate with 5,162 hours achieving £33,800 and the Massey Ferguson 5712 SL 4WD Dyna 4 sold on
a 17’ Plate having undertaken 2,700 hours at £32,000 to go to Ireland.
Another star of the day was the Manitou MLT 629 Telehandler which had been owned from new
and had only undertaken 2830 hours and was sold to go south to a farmer at £43,000.
