TOP OF £3900 – 31 OVER £2000

Another strong trade for Dairies on Tuesday saw 31 of the 65 Milkers pass the £2000 mark topping at a record £3900.

A superb show of cattle from D N Carter & Co of Rugby attracted massive interest topping at a record breaking £3900 for a fantastic heifer by Mr Frazzled Aristocrat. She went to Andrew Hulme of Basford who also took another heifer by the same bull at £2900.

The Aristocrat daughters were very impressive with another reaching £3250 to Arthur Mayer of Brown Edge who also went on to take a Mr Gen R-Rapid Haze daughter at £3000. Their whole entry averaged a superb £2133.

Two commercial heifers from Messrs Needham of Heaton reached £2400 and £2360.

DAIRIES TO £2360

A really bouncy trade for all qualities today saw a top price of £2360 for a 32kg heifer shown by Trevor & Pat Swinson of Caverswall. Close behind at £2280 was a smart heifer from the Phillips family of Winkhill to A Neville of Matlock who also went on to take another at £2220 from Ruth Millington of Byley.
Cows topped at £2100 for a second calver from Messrs Darwin of Oxspring.
The herd sale on behalf of the Gosling family of Parwich met a strong trade topped at £1980 for a second calver.
Next week we have a fantastic entry in the Pedigree sale including a special entry of 60 from D N Carter & Co of Rugby which are all heifers and second calvers and fresh, a really stylish group that are most worthy of inspection.

Great British Snow Did Not Deter the Bidders to Butchery Dispersal

With nearly 300 lots to sell the Bagshaws team were out at Nettleworth Farm at Sookholme Nr,
Mansfield for the 9th March dispersal of butchery equipment on behalf of Robert and Lynn Bowring.
Inclement snow covered the north of England however, the local roads were good to pass and buyers
attended from quite a wide area.
In the Smaller Lots;

• Large Rectangular Dinner Platters to £80 per box
• Small Rectangular Mini Platters to £35 per box
• Twin Set of Avery Berkel Readers and Tills £580

The sale on behalf of Nigel and Fiona Roobottom at Highlands Park attracted wide interest including purchasers from Shropshire, Wales and other areas.

With over 300 cars in the car park there was an excellent attendance and very spirited bidding.

Included By Kind Permission Section;

A feature of the sale was the inclusion of various Land Rovers with the 2015 Land Rover Defender 90 (County Pack) with 37,150 miles on the clock at £25,200 Plus VAT and another included Land Rover 90 Defender (County Pack) with Black Alloys and Side Runners, 62,000 miles £25,400.

Another feature of the sale was Ifor Williams Trailers with Ifor Williams P5E Trailers Up to £740. Ifor Williams Twin Axle 14ft Cattle Trailers Up to £4,550 and Ifor Williams Flat Tri-Axle Plant Trailers Up to £1,550.

The New Holland TD5-65 2WD Tractor (14’ Plate) achieved £10,000 with a smart 2016 year Krone Swadro 46 Mounted Single Rotor Rake at £4,100 and a set of Browns Hydraulic Folding Tine Harrows at £2,820.

Galvanised Bateman Comfort Cubicles Up to £30 each In Situ, with a 5 Place Cattle Yoke Gate at £500.
