Another excellent trade for dairies too this week, with a top of £2040 for fresh heifers with numerous heifers £1800 – £2000.

Haselour Grange Farm Report – 24th September 2020
Wide National and International interest at Tamworth dispersal.
The dispersal on behalf of Mrs Jan Jones at Haselour Grange near Tamworth attracted wide interest particularly for the John Deere 6430 Premium Tractor and Manitou Telehandler, with purchasers travelling as far afield as Holland and buyers from Ireland represented.
Leek Market Report – Tuesday 13th October
A rip roaring trade on Tuesday saw two reach £2100 with numerous between £1700 – £2000…..
Topping the day with his two cows was Andrew Bunting of Bakewell. His second and third calver both reached £2100.
A second calver from Richard Sidebottom of Mottram St Andrew reached £2000 with another second calver from Malcom Jones of Oswestry at £1960.
Heifers topped at £2000 from Messrs Easom of Oakerthorpe with another from Edward and Dianne Bennett at £1910.
A mammoth entry for next weeks pedigree sale which includes the Shorthorn Society Show and Sale sees total entries to date just short of 200 Head.

An outstanding trade for Dairies this Tuesday with cows reaching £2500 and £2460….


DAIRIES TO £2500
A phenomenal trade for the best end in the dairies at Leek which also saw a better trade for all qualities overall.
Two families, the Easoms and the Mellors each showed an outstanding group of cows and heifers that were much admired by all purchasers. The decision to sell such quality was justly rewarded for both vendors with the Easoms seeing their second calver reach £2500 and the Mellors their second calver to £2460. The Easoms also had another second calver to £2340 with the Mellors seeing a fourth calver to £2300.
Longstone Moor Farm Report – Wednesday 16th September 2020
North Derbyshire Dispersal sees flying trade.
The combined sale on behalf of Miss Linda Wood at Longstone Moor Farm together with items from Richard Setchfield of Staveley saw an excellent crowd of bidders with purchasers from Lincolnshire, North Wales and all the surrounding areas.
Some of the stars of the show included a superb Land Rover 90 (December 2012) together with JCB Telehandlers and a Kawasaki Mule Pro DX.
