The retirement sale on behalf of Mr Steve Preece at No 3 Holding, Edingale saw him leaving the farm after 26 years as a Staffordshire County Council tenant.

The Massey Ferguson 6290 (02’-14,000 hours) sold at £10,000.
The farms Land Rover was a Land Rover 90 on a 1989 G Plate with 135,000 miles on the clock with no MOT achieving an excellent £4,500.

Machinery Dispersal Report-Fields Farm, Sutton on the Hill
“Genuine Dispersal and Large Crowd in Spite of the Weather”–Mark Elliott
The machinery and produce dispersal on behalf of Mr Charles Buckston at Fields Farm, Sutton on the Hill saw very good support with interest in the principal machinery from all surrounding counties together with north Yorkshire, Wiltshire, Northern Ireland and into North Wales.
There were over 500 lots for sale and all teams worked extremely hard in spite of the weather conditions to look after all sale attendees and the vendor with some exceedingly pleasing results.

Trailers attracted wide interest with:

- Small Nugent Combi Calf Trailer achieved £1,440

There had been wide pre-sale interest in the JCB Telehandler and Massey Ferguson Tractors which were sold to spirited bidding together with telephone bids from both Ireland and the North of England.

- Massey Ferguson 4707 (Reg FJ18 GYB) £22,000
- Massey Ferguson 7614 c/w Front Linkage and PTO (Reg FN62 CDK) £27,400
The Honda Quad TRX 520 73’ Plate achieved an excellent £5,000
The JCB 532-60 Agri Telehandler from the farm had undertaken less than 1,800 hours work and sold on a 73’ Plate it achieved an excellent £55,500 and went off to North Yorkshire. The attachments attracted great interest with the Albut Sheargrab £3,350. The Albut 10 Tine FYM Grab at £1,700 and the Bucket Brush c/w Bucket at £1,620.
Within the included items:
- Massey Ferguson 5455 c/w Loader achieved £26,900
- Superb IAE Centurion Galvanised Cattle Crush achieved a resounding £3,680
The special entry from a local farmer of trailers saw a West 12 Ton Mono Bodied Silage Trailer at £10,050 and the AS Marston 12 Ton Mono Body Silage Trailer at £8,950.
The Manitou MLT 735 PSCRC Telehandler showing 9,400 hours on a 15’ Plate sold well at £18,700.
Obviously, Straw and Silage attracted wide local interest with
- Quadrant Bales of 6 String Hay (2025 crop) at up to £89/bale.
- Wrapped Round Baled Silage Up to £39/bale
- Barley Straw in 4 String, 8ft Bales achieving between £49 and £55/bale depending on lot size
All in all, a very genuine sale with further large sales already booked.
