A seasonal entry with a Pedigree Jersey cow and Fleckveih’s included within todays offering.
The Cotton family at Whiston exhibited Eryri Bouquet, a 3rd calved Jersey giving 29kg she went on to make £1300.
Other newly calved Holstein heifers to £1340.

Machinery Dispersal Report-Yew Tree Farm
Large number of lots at Derbyshire Dispersal-Flying Trade

The machinery dispersal on behalf of Mr Guy Hadfield who has unfortunately ceased farming due to ill health saw a wonderful field of machinery together with a large array of fabricators kit and general sundries.
There was support from a wide area including North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Wiltshire and all surrounding counties and items sold on a very fast trade.
In the yard and sundries;

The prime movers on the farm included New Holland and Kubota tractors together with a Bobcat and all had been owned from new and were in very good order. Detailed below as;

Mr Hadfield’s diesel Nemo Van had undertaken few miles and made a resounding £5,750 with the Yamaha RT100 Mini Trail Bike on which Mr Hadfield had checked his cattle achieving an excellent £680.

There was a superb trade for dairies at Leek on Tuesday with more certainly needed to satisfy demand.
Top call was for a Monument Impression daughter from Michael Wainwright of Buxton at £2300. Giving 30kg she went to John Moss of Rushton Spencer.
Milky cows were very much in demand with a second calver from the Bradburn family of Wigan reaching £2110. The families entry of four second calvers averaged a fantastic £1940.
The first cow through the ring from Andrew Armett of Loughborough reached £2100 to Messrs Darwin of Oxspring, Sheffield. Regular vendor Andrew Mills of Ratcliffe on Wreake saw his heifer to £2060 to Ed Clowes of Kingsley.

The Machinery dispersal on behalf of Mrs Christine Newton following the death of the late John Newton was held at Whitelow Farm, Bonsall Moor with a large crowd attending from as far afield as Ireland, Harrogate, North Wales and North of Birmingham.
The stars of the show were undoubtedly the Land Rover 90 together with Tractors and there was excellent bidding in all sectors.
In the Smaller lots;
- 6 Telegraph Poles £370
- 14 Rolls of 750mm Silage Wrap £720
- Sets of 4 Sheep Hurdles Up to £95 per set
- Twin Galvanised Guillotine Gate £200
- Watson Rectangular Bunker Feeders Up to £740
There was a small array of machinery to include;

The tractors and larger items attracted interest from as far afield as Ireland with the John Deere 2650 (E REG) at £8,000

Land Rover 90 – 77,000 miles (11 plate) at a resounding £19,000

A lovely trade for the quality forward saw the Phillips family of Winkhill top the market for a 26kg heifer at £2110. They also had a second at £2100.
Richard Lomas of Calow saw his heifer reach £2020 with another from Messrs Callwood of Knutsford at £2000.
A Montbeliarde x third calver giving 37kg from A Barber of Gnosall reached £1900.
