Massive Crowd and Excellent Trade at High Quality Dispersal Near Tamworth

The dispersal sale on behalf of Mr Steve Webb attracted a very large crowd and the quality of the
items and their careful maintenance led to an excellent trade in all sectors.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the John Deere 6820 4WD c/w Loader and 50K Gearbox which
showed 4,456 hours on sale day and registered on a 56 Plate achieved a massive £45,400 and was
purchased to go into Yorkshire.
The principal items in the sale all related to Mr Webb’s forestry and arboricultural business. With
major items as follows;
• Schliesing 550 ZX Heavy Duty PTO Chipper Unit £8,960
• Uniforest 85H-2M Mounted PTO Driven Winch £4,400
• JAPA 385 Expert 8.0 T Wood Processing Unit £5,750
• Posch Auto Split Kindling Stick Splitting Machine £6,000
• Jensen A530 Fastow Self-Propelled Chipper Unit c/w Ball Hitch £5,550


Within the general agricultural machinery section bidding was very spirited as follows;
• Major CDX 9ft Mounted Topper £1,780
• Ifor Williams Twin Axle Mini Digger Trailer £1,080
• Ifor Williams Twin Axle Transport Trailer c/w Front Mount Crane £4,850
• Marshall QM 14-14 Ton Mono Bodied Grain Trailer £9,100


There was a wide array of building equipment and general tools with prices as follows;
• Long RSJ’s £230 each
• Galvanised Drop Post £25 each
• Log Lifting Tines £80 (lightweight) and £155 (Heavy Duty)
• Pallet Pump Trucks Up to £120 each
• Heavy Duty Impact Sockets (Virtually Unused) £120
Another feature of the sale was the inclusion of an excellent 10ft Twin Door Shipping Container which
achieved £2,050 and a 2 Ton Yale Diesel Forklift at £3,000.
The best of the seasoned logs sold in tote bags achieved well over £60 per bag with other lots between
£50 and £60 per bag.

All the classic tractors and compact kit was sold free of vat with prices as follows;
• Kubota B7100 4WD £3,200
• Agritrader Compact Flail Mower £760
• Sovema 100S Mounted Rotorvator £780
• Single Furrow Reversible Compact Plough £400
• Twose 3 Leg Mounted Scuffle £350
• Agri 38 Mounted Rotary Topper £510
The rare Massey Ferguson 35 X Multi Power Tractor which has received paint several years ago and
was sold with a roll bar attracted wide interest from Norfolk, Shropshire as well as all surrounding
counties and was eventually purchased after spirited bidding by a collector from Lancashire at £8,500.
The John Deere 2130 2WD c/w Duncan Cab on a P Plate sold well at £7,550 and was purchased by a
local farmer.
In the included section an excellently maintained Vaderstad AS 400 Trailed Drill sold at £25,000 and
from the same farm a set of, He-Va 820 Trailed Ring Rolls went on to make £12,100.
Trailers were again, good to sell with a 14 Ton Ken Wootton Grain Trailer c/w Sprung Drawbar at
£8,000 and an old Ifor Williams Twin Axle Plant Trailer (GD106G) at £1,200.

DAIRY SHORTHORN TO £1950

Despite a distinct shortage of quality in the dairy shed on Tuesday trade we extremely swift for all qualities with a smashing Dairy Shorthorn from Shirley Kirkham topping the day at £1950.

Numerous second quality heifers were in that £1800+ mark.

We have a superb entry already of almost 50 Milkers for next week Pedigree Sale and we then move swiftly into a succession of herd dispersals (See adverts below) with more being booked this week.

A good early month entry with several bigger runs of cattle from the Howe family and David Brailsford of Ashover.

Top of the day £2250 for a smart Pedigree Holstein heifer from Phillip & Marilyn Critchlow of Cubley sold giving 31kg.

Mark Shepherd from Birchills at Hassop topped the cows with a June calve Pedigree 2nd Calver sold giving 49kg at £2130.

Trade was very bouncy from start to finish with a run of second and third calves Friesian type cows from the Howe family topping at £1800 and two more at £1700. Several purchasers bidding strongly but leaving for home having not fulfilled their orders.

In the youngstock a sweet run from Roger Cooke of Woodseaves saw August 2021 maiden heifers to £670 and £610 and Norwegian Red x maiden heifers to £635.

Herd sales coming forward for August with July Pedigree sale on 19th of the month.

Another bouncy trade in the dairy shed saw a smashing heifer from the Critchlow family of Cubley top at £2540 with others from the same home at £2280 and £2180.

Cows topped at £2280 for a second calver from regular vendors, the Shepherd family of Bakewell.

Shorthorns were in strong demand with a pedigree heifer from Shirley Kirkham reaching £1940.

Various herd sales have been booked with dates to be announced shortly.
