Middle Farm, Cowlow-Machinery Dispersal Report
The Mid October Sale on behalf of Mr & Mrs Ian Hulme of Middle Farm at Cowlow near Buxton attracted a large crowd and with the family emigrating to New Zealand there was extremely spirited bidding in all sections.

Ian Hulme had been well regarded as a fencing contractor with many sundry items for his business sold at the genuine dispersal. The principal item a Brice Suma Agri Stockman Plus Fully Mounted Post Knocker made an excellent £5,800 with a Home Fabricated Bobcat Mounted Knocker Unit achieving £800.

The smart Marshall AS Twin Axle Drop Side Tipping Trailer achieved £3,680 with a well-built Heavy-Duty Twin Axle Bale Trailer at £3,550.
Customers had travelled from a wide area for the final items in the sale with;

- Ridley Wrapper Quad Mounted Fencer £1,010
In the tractors a New Holland 8260 4WD with just short of 10,500 hours on the clock achieved £13,100 with the Fendt 716 Vario with just short of 11,700 hours on the clock at £19,400.
The Clarke S130 Bobcat Skidsteer Loader attracted telephone bidders and others assisted to an excellent £9,600. With the 8 Tine Power Grab achieving £480.

Another bumpy ride in the dairy ring with trade continuing to be unpredictable.
A lovely second calver from the Easom family topped the day at £2120 with a second from the same home reaching £1900. Heifers topped at £1890 from Messrs Broadley.

Bagshaws team with 820 lots at Fackley-an outstanding crowd!
The dispersal sale on behalf of Ian Taylor at Fackley Farm, Teversal saw nearly 50 tractors together with combine and digger for auction and drew a crowd from the South West, Wales, Anglesey together with Ireland for a wide range of Ford, Massey Ferguson and other tractor makes together with a massive range of collectables, sundries and genuine parts.

Undoubtedly the very collectable Massey Ferguson 690 4WD and David Brown 1290 4WD c/w Loader attracted wide interest from a national audience. After spirited bidding the 1290 4WD showing very low hours achieved an excellent £8,000 to a collector from Ireland. The 690 4WD (multi-power gears-Y Reg) achieved an excellent £7,600 and the farms Massey Ferguson 5465 4WD (3,930 hours-04 Plate) sold again to an Irish bidder at £19,900.




A smart Claas Dominator 58 Combine c/w 10ft Header on a C Plate achieved an excellent £5,000 to a Cheshire mixed farmer.

A very wet Tuesday didn’t deter customers from coming to Leek with improved trade in the Lamb sections as well as calves seeing a superb trade!!
Dairy Dispersal Report-Royan Herd
ROYAN HERD DISPERSAL TOPS AT 2520gns
18 OVER 2000gns
A large crowd gathered in Derbyshire for the dispersal of the long established Royan Herd on behalf of the Dutton family.
Established over 45 years ago the sale marked the retirement of brothers Roy and Andrew, Andrew being a popular figure within in Holstein circles having served for both his local club and Holstein UK.
Royan Josepha 82 VG86(3yr) stole the day at 2520gns. By Monument Impression, she had calved with her second in July and was sold giving over 41kg having given 10322kg as a heifer. She was purchased by Mycock Agri of Flagg, Buxton.
Hot in pursuit at 2400gns was Royan Molly 208 EX90(6yr). By Bertailola Mincio, she was August calved with her third and giving 42kg. She too went to Messrs Mycock.
Two reached 2300gns, the first Royan Joan 42 was an August calved second calver clinched by Messrs Neville of Matlock and the second Royan Mable 56 GP84, also a second calver to Messrs Swindells of Chelmorton.
18 animals passed the 2000gn mark with all milkers averaging an excellent £1462 (without calves and £1573 (with calves).
Much interest was shown for the In-calf heifer Royan Smokin Marie. By Misty Springs Smokin, she heralded from the much thought of Marie family from Denmire, her dam being Denmire Gibson Marie 22 EX94-2. Due in December and after some spirited bidding she eventually joined the Chasmar Herd of Messrs Cotton.
1860gns clinched the In-calf heifer Royan Gibson Skychief ET a daughter of the great “Saucy” cow. She joins the Fobec Herd of Messrs Kent.
Youngstock peaked at 910gns with young calves to 580gns.
