“Non-Vat Small Holders Sale at Alderwasley sees Massive Crowd”Mark Elliott
The sale on behalf of Mr Jeff Hobson at Nether Park Farm arose as a result of Bagshaws putting the property forward for sale and Mr Hobson now in his 80’s retiring and selling all his Ferguson Tractors and Small Holders Kit.
Undoubtedly the stars of the show were the Ferguson Tractors with a very original Massey Ferguson 135-1978 on an S Plate seeing one of the fields top prices at £7,020 to a local Derbyshire purchaser.
There was a very large crowd, and the afternoon start at 3pm in the Autumn definitely worked for many purchasers who saw the opportunity of purchasing non vat items, having them loaded and away home before dark.

“Setchfield Dispersal Highly Successful” Mark Elliott
With a very diverse crowd and joint auctioneers shared duties with Brown & Co, Humber Office, the Bagshaws team had buyers from a wide area for the dispersal sale on behalf of the Setchfield family at Grantham.
There was a wide range of tools and workshop items together with various genuine machines, which included Demo Kioti’s and Merlo’s and various shop soiled/nearly new Bomford Hedgecutters and other excellent kit.

One of the surprise items of the sale was a twin axle towability Exhibition Unit which was in good order even though it had done many seasons work and achieved an outstanding £8,500.
The prime movers of the day included various JCB, Manitou and Merlo Telehandlers some of which had only demonstration hours together with the Setchfield Service Vans and a JCB 4200 Fastrac with the prices as follows:
