Trade continues at a pace with a good line up of buyers looking for replacement stock. The best continue to sell best and two smart heifers from Michael Wainwright led the day. His Pedigree two year old newly calved heifers sold at £2060 and £1980 and both purchased by John Moss.
Derek Davenport, Sandbach also sold smart heifers at £1880 and £1840, both newly calved and giving 21kg daily.
Plenty of cows today and these were topped by a second calver from the Barber family, Gnosall who made £1800 and also had a third calver at £1750.
One baby Shorthorn heifer calf at two weeks old made £300 from Trevor Swinson, Caverswall.
Topping the day in the dairy ring was a strong Pedigree Angus bull from Martin Farrington. This 3 year old stock getter made £2100 after spirited bidding from several parties.

“Wide support and excellent trade at Loughborough Dispersal”

The Bagshaws team were out again at Loughborough in Leicestershire with the genuine dispersal sale on behalf of the personal representatives of the Late Sydney Armett whos machinery had been extremely well maintained with several of the newer lots in pristine order.
The stars of the day were undoubtedly the tractors and telehandler but Mr Armett’s superb Ford Ranger Wildtrak 4WD pickup with only 6,000 miles on the clock attracted interest from a wide area.

The Late Mr Armett’s machines were in very good order some having undertaken very little work the McConnel Powerarm 5455 Flail Hedgecutter was purchased by a local farmer at £10,800 with the Vicon Fanex 683 6 Rotor Mounted Tedder again going to a local farmer at £3,550. The KRM Mounted 4.8metre Tine Drill achieved £6,000 with a very smart set of NRH Hydraulic Folding Combi Ring Rolls at £6,750.
The COP Engineering Twin Axle Bale Trailer made an excellent £3,200 with AS Marston 10 Ton Grain/Silage Trailers up to £3,800 each.
The master T12 Mobile Dryer together with NC 14 Ton Grain Trailer were in superb order with the Grain Trailer achieving £11,200 and the mobile dryer going to a farmer in County Durham at £16,800.
Tractors sold well with wide interest from both surrounding farms and well into Wales and Northern Island. The Case CS94 4WD (52 Plate) £16,000, Case IH Maxxum MX120 (04 Plate) £25,800, Case IH Maxxum 110 (12 Plate)-low Hours £37,600, Case Puma 180 (58 Plate)-low hours £41,000. The superb Manitou MLT 735-120 LSU Telehandler on a 12 Plate with low hours sold with pallet tines on at £36,000 and with the addition of eight attachments achieved a combined price of an excellent £44,000.

As detailed above the Late Mr Armett’s Ford Ranger Truck attracted significant interest from a wide area and was sold locally for £27,000+VAT with the Honda Foreman TRX 500-FE Quad Bike on a 13 Plate at a superb £4,520.

TRADE ON FIRE – TOP OF £2440, 12 OVER £2000
The trade for milkers on Tuesday matched the weather been too hot to handle for many purchasers.
A smaller pedigree entry met a flying trade with a Seagull-Bay MVP daughter from Andrew & Joanna Bunting reaching £2260 with a lovely crossbred heifer from Edward Whittaker reached £2110.
However it was the entry of 11 fresh heifers from the Johnson family of Longnor that really set the trade alight with the first through the ring reached £2400. The entry topped at £2440 with 10 passing the £2000 mark and averaging out at £2148. The Johnsons have another 8 entered for next week.
Calves topped at £300 also from the Buntings with the two stock bulls also selling well, the Limousin reaching £2400 and the Beef Shorthorn £2100.
The machinery dispersal sale held on behalf of Richard and David Green at Shirley Farm, Whiston, Stoke attracted wide support as the machinery, Land Rover, Sundries and Effects were in superb order and had been extremely well cared for.
The stars of the show were undoubtedly the two John Deere tractors, Gator and Land Rover but there was a large array of items for sale prior to those items.

All the machinery together with the tractors and Land Rover etc were in pristine order and the family should be commended for the way in which they presented things for sale as they were superbly well finished.


Trailers and tankers saw spirited bidding from a wide area including North Wales and Cumbria with;
Purchasers had traveled from a wide area to bid at the tractors, gator and land rover with representation from Somerset and Ireland as well as local counties. The John Deere 5080R c/w Loader 62 Plate achieved £29,000. With the John Deere 6115 M (15 Plate) at £44,100 to a local farmer. The John Deere Gator (68 plate-733 hours only) achieved a superb £15,050 and the Green Partnerships items finished with their superb Land Rover Defender (14 Plate-only 18,800 miles at £30,200.

Within the sundry vendors items there was a charity donation of lots from Mr Robert Bentley of Foston and he must be thanked for his donation and delivery on his items which achieved over £150.

A funny days trading maybe due to the sunny weather saw the best to £2100 from Messrs Beech of Sutton, Macclesfield with others from the same home to £1960 and £1810 the second of which was a Shorthorn x.
Another Shorthorn x from Edward & Diane Bennett of Whiston reached £1800. A Holstein heifer from Messrs Phillips of Winkhill reached £1920.
